When you have matched with a new friend, you can start sending messages to them.
Continuing an existing conversation
To continue chatting with someone you’ve already messaged:
– Go to the Messages section of the Langmate app.
– Select the Messages tab.
– You will see a list of your past discussions.
– Tap on the conversation you want to continue.
How to send a message to a new friend (new match)
When you get a new match, a pop-up will appear within the app, giving you the option to start a conversation right away.
If you skipped the pop-up and decided to start the conversation later, please follow these steps:
– Go to the Messages section of the Langmate app.
– Select the Messages tab.
– At the top of the screen, locate the New Friend horizontal list.
– Tap on the user picture you want to start talking with.
– The chat window will open.
– You may see a “Start Chatting?” button. If so, tap on it to initiate the conversation.
After tapping the “Start Chatting” button, you can begin sending messages using the text bar at the bottom.

Using the chat features
You can send text messages, but also voice messages*, video*, pictures, share your location*, or sending drawings*!
